Dear Fellow Sisters, Dear Fellow Brothers, esteemed Brotherhoods,
The Gastronomic Confraternity of Madeira (CEM) is very pleased to invite you to its XXVI Grand Chapter, which will take place from April 25 to 27, 2026.
In 2025, the CEM celebrated its 25th anniversary and its XXV Chapter—also my first chapter as Grand Master or President of the CEM—with 4 days of sharing and discovering our gastronomy, our traditions, our customs, our folklore, and the landscapes of our island of Madeira. I am certain that those moments remain etched in the memory of all who were present.
For 2026, the CEM board has decided to reduce the activities of its Grand Chapter from 4 to 3 days, on the one hand due to logistics and cost considerations, and on the other hand, and essentially, to give more free time to those who decide to visit us to make the most of their stay in Madeira and explore its full enogastronomic potential.
Since its foundation, CEM has been committed to showcasing a bit of its diversity and its food and wine culture, traveling through its various municipalities, and this year will be no exception; we are determined to offer, for three days, very enjoyable moments of socializing and discovery, and we are confident in your complete satisfaction. We want to welcome you with open arms, with humility, simplicity, and friendliness, and I hope that when you return to your regions, you will be able to say that participating in the XXVI Grand Chapter of CEM was worthwhile, promising to come back whenever possible.
Fraternal regards,
Lino Dionisio,
President of the Board of the
Enogastronomic Brotherhood of Madeira
